Break holdin'


took a break!  Welcomed my newborn into the world in October, then Spent November making BLIT CITY for the Github Gameoff jam as I acclimatized to getting back to work.  

But it was a good break.

I solved my global color palette woes, and implemented the whole system.  everything sits on top of about 5 basic shaders that simply pull their color data from a global shader texture, which I set per day.  This is coupled with some rudimentary mesh editing tools in the editor, giving me the freedom to create maps and assets freely without any overhead work to make them adapt to a color palette.

I also added homing fishies.  Current balance is not great - most days share the same generation recipe (heavy on the fishies), but the next set of milestones I've laid out for myself involve diggin' deep into V I S U A L S and Mechanics design per-day.  In January, you can expect to play proper Wednesdays - designed to be very easy to get through, but maximizing score may require some premeditiation.
